Slickage came to life in early 2012. It was founded by our leader James Wang in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It started out as a one-man part-time gig that focused on iPhone applications (we’re talking iOS 4!). At times it was a two-man operation doing iOS part-time.
Seeking change in 2013 James decided to focus on Slickage full-time. The offerings expanded to include web applications. With the expanded offerings the team also began to expand. In early 2014 we officially welcomed our first employees!
Today Slickage remains a small software development company in Honolulu, Hawaii. The difference today is that we work with people located around the globe. We are firm believers that technology has no boundaries. We refuse to believe the rock we live on should limit our opportunities.
Our non-traditional name Slickage Studios was conjured up by James. While it doesn’t really have a meaning we like to think that we create pretty “slick” software. We’re a studio, except our “art” is creating software.
